The Introduction to Excel one-day course is an excellent starting point for people new to Excel, people who need more confidence in Excel or those looking to upskill for career growth. The course provides a basic overview of the main functions and features of Excel delivered in a formal business setting by our experienced Excel trainer.

Do you want to gain confidence in Excel in a supportive real world environment? If you want to learn in a local training centre with a knowledgeable trainer and supportive course colleagues, then this is the course for you. 

Included on the day’s course will be the following content;

  • Accessing Excel and creating a new spreadsheet
  • Creating formulas and understanding why they are used
  • Creating charts and understanding why they are used
  • Sorting data into easy to use sets
  • Formatting spreadsheets including formatting cells, justification, shading, text wrap, number and text formats
  • Creating tables
  • Deleting/ merging and copying data

In order to make best use of the day you will be allocated an individual fully equipped workstation where you can practise your skills. The trainer will also use an overhead screen to demonstrate. The trainer will floor walk during the practical exercises to check your understanding and provide supportive coaching and tips. 

At the end of the day you will be given a course manual to solidify your learning.

At the end of the day’s training you will have an excellent basic level of understanding of Excel and be able to perform basic day to day tasks including managing and structuring data, formatting spreadsheets and creating charts. You will have a new level of confidence in Excel and receive a certificate of completion from PSP as well as a useful course manual to solidify your learning.

All of our face-to-face training courses take place at our learning centre in Spalding, Lincolnshire. The environment is extremely comfortable, studious and professional and course numbers for management courses are capped at only 12 candidates per course allowing candidates to benefit from a high level of personal coaching from your trainer.
